Common questions

Do I have to open my chargers to the public?

No. Opening your chargers to the public is optional — your lot stays yours, and you decide who charges on it.

Who owns the hardware, and who maintains it?

You own it — the chargers and carports are yours to keep. Smartned installs, runs and services all of it for the life of your contract.

What is the SPRILA grant?

A Dutch government subsidy for private charging infrastructure. It needs a business registered in the Netherlands, charge points on your own or rented Dutch site — and the points must stay private: the scheme excludes publicly accessible charging. It pays a fixed amount per charge point — €800 for smaller companies, half that for large enterprises — once, if your application is awarded.
